My favourite fish & chip shop in the town! Just off the high street the friendly staff will cook you up freshly prepared food to order. The chips are great and let's be honest, the chips can make or break it! Clean bright and welcoming atmosphere with table service, I mostly use it as a takeaway. If you haven't tried it... Do! :)

Inside looks like a run of the mill cafe complete with sticky tables but the food is very good quality. The cottage pie homemade was excellent and fresh with plenty of veg, curry was tasty and homemade plus the fish cakes were lovely. Syrup sponge with plenty of custard what more could you ask for?
My first review on Google! Ordered chips and a 'proper cornish pasty'. Not sure what other reviewers think is a large portion of chips but mine certainly wasn't. Neither were they very nice. Pasty was not a very nice one. What made it worse was the fact it was microwaved to get it warm! Shame on you Woodys! Ended up feeding the seagulls and getting a sandwich from Tesco. This Essex boy won't be going here again. Shame I can't give it zero stars!
Excellent for fish and chips. Consistent over several years. Very fresh salad and clean environment. Good access for wheelchairs. Polite and helpful staff.
Had small cod and chip with cold drink. Very good value for money and cooked fresh. Very clean and well presented.
