Been here a few times for lunch after a walk. They have changed the menu so you can't get a light bite any more, just a pub grub menu with nothing remotely healthy. Tried the vegetarian lasagne, had to ask for it to be sent back and warmed up as was stone cold in the middle. My friend had the Mexican chicken burger which was mostly skin and gristle (even some small bones) in a greasy sauce which was left uneaten, such a shame as it used to be a great spot for a light lunch after a walk around the lake

A nice restaurant in beautiful surroundings. Food was enjoyable and the service was good. Nice clean toilet facilities.
This campsite is great and if you are a fisherman it is fantastic ,hardstanding sites with gravel water and power on each stand. Lots of walks arrive the 5 lakes and Woodlands! Woody's however the food is generally mediocre took a long time to arrive at the table, the sticky toffee pudding homemade is very nice but the icecream it is served with is an odd choice, would be much better with custard a good dollop of cream or vanilla icecream!!!
It's a good place to go to and have fan. Good food and affordable prices. If you want a peace of mind and a glass of cold beer that's the cool place.
