This place has given me hope that my family will have a bright future. I have learned so much this past year and the prayers and encouragement I've received from the staff and volunteers have helped me become a better wife and mother. I've found joy in motherhood and really appreciate all of the services they provide for my family and baby items for my kids. I love the Hope Center!
I can't say enough great things about The Hope Center! My sponsor, Ms.Suzanne, has brought so much light into my life. What a great organization full of great people! I cannot express how much they have made such a huge impact in both me and my son's lives. Everything done here is based off the faith of God. If he is not the center of your life, I would say this may not be the best fit for you. They are not going to encourage abortions. They are not going to offer birth control. However if you're feeling unsure and don't know what to do, need help weighing out options, need outside support, eager to learn what parenthood is about, and just need that extra push, I would highly recommend. I no longer attend classes at the center due to my work schedule, however I sure do miss it. So thankful for them! No way, I would have made it through without their support!
As one reviewer stated about birth control- no you cannot get it here because the Hope Center has a much bigger agenda than something you get free from the Health Department. The Hope Center is a facility with generous, wonderful, and sweet volunteers that dedicate their time to help you discover options that can better aid your family. If you are a single mother or even if you are married and struggling to make ends meet, these kind people will do ultrasounds for free, get you started on classes to learn how to take care of your child, and you will \earn while you learn\ meaning: the more baby prep classes you attend, the more \mommy money\ you will receive. These credits can help get your upcoming baby some clothes and essentials at a giant discount, also cashless diapers and wipes when you use the \mommy money\. This group of outstanding citizens helped my husband and I when we were going through a really tough financial time. I highly recommend these classes. Even if you think you know everything about raising children, there's no harm in donating an hour of your time to learn something. You receive credits for every class you do and all homework you participate in doing. They offer church-based counseling and their support truly can help you if you feel overwhelmed and need help. Please do call if you need any help, whether it's emotionally, physically or financially. I cannot express enough about how wonderful my experience was with them.
A pregnancy center performing medical procedures (like an ultrasound) run by or based upon any religious agenda needs to be UP FRONT AND TRANSPARENT about that support and that agenda. This place is NOT up front or transparent about that and they need to be called out for it. If you're religious this is for you and more power to you if you want to reach out for that support, but the average person will not be able to grasp that this place is religiously motivated from their website and reviews. Hence, my review. I 100% guarantee you NO WOMAN has left this facility with a recommendation to have an abortion WHICH IS A COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE DECISION NO MATTER THE REASON (finances, relationship status, work, DONT WANT TO BE PREGNANT OR HAVE A BABY, etc.) These surreptitious religious organizations use guilt and manipulation to further their personal agenda. God won't pay the bills or raise the kid, ladies. That's all you. We live in an age where we have access to vast amounts of knowledge through the internet. There are a VAST number of resources (UNBIASED) which you can seek out for support and thoughtful guidance to a choice that is TRULY right for you and NOT based upon the guilt pounded on you by Christianity. Beware.
