I've shopped here twice within the past two years. Both times the customer service has been shambolic. I ordered some fencing just after lockdown in summer 2020. Waited 8 weeks for the panels to turn up. My scheduled delivery arrived and I was given no notification. Turns out part of my order (PRE PAID FOR ONLINE!) was sold to a walk in customer. With a loss of trust I transported my own good home in my car in two trips. Went in today for a few bits, stood waiting in the saw house for 10 minutes after a member of staff said he would return. When walking out of the shop three staff, none of them wearing masks stood close together behind the counter all having a good old chat. One star is generous. If you don't want to serve people, save us the time and close the shop. Wouldn't fancy being out of a job at this moment chaps.

Shocking customer service. Placed an order in JUNE LAST YEAR for some timber which was in stock on the website.... and I am still waiting.! Emailed customer services several times to chase my order. On each occasion I have been told they are getting a delivery of timber \in a couple of weeks and they would get in touch when it arrives..\ I was on each occasion understanding & patient as I know there are lots of issues with imports etc due to COVID. However no one ever does get back in contact. One day back in October half my order appeared on my drive, with no prior warning.. a dump and run...! But I am still waiting for the second half of my order & now they have gone silent.. no replies.. The absolute cheek of it all is that they're still selling the supposed \out of stock items\ on their website!! Im either being lied to or they are conning other people too!
I've always found them helpful and knowledgeable, but it does help if you know a bit about what you are trying to ask them - they aren't mind readers. As other say - great pricing and a pretty good range of products
Have used Woodlands for around 10 years for various projects including some materials for a home renovation and spent to what would amount to 2-3k on various projects over this period. The range of product is generally very good, its useful as a DIY store and if you need something quickly it is handy. That said, the lumber prices are very expensive, have found even Wickes to be cheaper recently. Worse than the price of goods is the attitude of the staff which is very poor. They are generally unwilling to help with cutting down and its definitely a hardship to have boards or sheet material cut to size to fit in a vehicle. 4 stars for the range of product 1 star for the price (for example 2x3 CLS 2.4mtr long from Woodlands is something like 4.50 VAT whereas Wickes have it on sale at the moment for something like 3.20 incl VAT) Sheet materials are similar in cost although if you are looking for smaller sheets Wickes is definitely better. 1 star for the service 2 stars overall. Ultimately, i wouldn't recommend unless you have a very quick requirement and live locally. Otherwise save your money and go to a local builders merchant like B&T's or go to Wickes. Improve pricing and the general attitude of staff and this place gets full marks.
Been using Woodlands for over 20 years, decent timber at a good price, had numerous sheds and log cabins over the years and they were all excellent.
