Great little state parks with some nice trails. Wonderful river access as well if you are a boater. We loved the Lee Woods Trail, Bushey Point Trail, and Powell Nature trail. The park has a small campground as well, sites were close together but in a nice shady wooded portion of the park. Trails have lots of cool signage and are very well maintained -- none are very difficult though Powell and Lee Woods have some uphills. Ample parking and lots of picnicking areas as well. Just a gorgeous spot along the potomac.

So Cute. A little rundown. But the pandemic followed by a cold winter was not very nice to the Staff I’m sure. I take my kids here weekly for the park and to walk. Very easy to social distance on the weekdays but on the weekends expect it to get pretty packed
Very, very nice! It was the 1st time we visited this park. Lovely! There is a fee to get in. For us, 2 adults, it was 7. Well worth it! Lots of parking, boat launch, beach area (not huge), picnic area with grills, restrooms, camping available, beautiful scenery, plenty of shady spots to sit and relax, clean, dogs welcome. We went on Thursday...not very crowded. Weekends may be different. Highly recommend!
This park has short beach, fishing spot, and huge picnic area with a lot of tables. Good place to spend outdoor time.
Beautiful park. We enjoyed it. Lot of sign of the history about the area.
