Loved the taster menu. The food was exceptional and the wine flight.....WOW!! I've had taster menus in various restaurants in Manchester, never have I been offered such well paired wines for each course, it was fabulous! The staff were fantastic and the restaurant is lovely and relaxed. The courses were on the small size even for a taster menu, but the flavours were superb! We'll definitely be returning!

Back for lunch at our favourite restaurant in Manchester! Amazing food as always! The staff really look after you and they are very knowledgeable especially about the wine! We had the 5 course tasting menu but you actually get 10 courses if you include the snacks and the bread. Great value! Will definitely be back soon!

An absolute pleasure from start to finish, such a lovely place and relaxed atmosphere. Food was absolutely amazing. Had the 10 course tasting menu which was an absolute gastronomical delight. Our waiter Greg was exceptional.

Good value for money. Smaller sized food than some tasting menus but all delicious and 2 extra snacks were added for free. Simon Wood served some food himself which was a nice touch. Good value matching wines and excellent sommeliers. Good ambience and were able to deal with some of my friends food intolerances easily and without fuss or problem.

Outstanding from start to the finish. There’s no welcome like Wood. The staff are the best. Things have changed a little since our last visit, you begin your journey in the bar/lounge area where you’ll enjoy a drink and complimentary Simon snacks while you soak up the serene setting. From the moment you enter, the journey is seamlessly fluid. After our pre-drink, we were then seated by Charlie the lovely foh. We were then given our server for the evening (Adam) who was friendly and explained everything served to us, the attention to detail is incredible. We opted for the 10 course tasting menu with the premium paired wine flight (it’s a must for the ultimate experience). Before each course arrived impeccably presented, Michael the in-house sommelier would serve our wine for the dish and explain every detail and why this wine compliments the course. He was so knowledgeable and opting the wine flight lifted the food and experience to a new height for us. We can’t say it enough, It’s a must when going on a gastronomic journey like this. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Wood & Simon for always delivering a first class experience.
