Makkoli heaven. Come before 5pm to get the amazing happy hour deals. The house made fresh options are delicious. We didn't eat but the snacks looked excellent. Service staff is nice but slow. For a table of two, they won't let you order more than 1 carafe at a time however so drink up. Warning that the pricing outside of happy hour is exorbitant. Frankly compared to other places in Seoul even the happy hour prices are high but totally inexpensive if you're coming from abroad. The atmosphere and seating is great. Grab a table next to the open patio if you can.

Fusion restaurant, the food is very tasty and covering Korean and Italian food. Rather expensive and does not open on Sunday
Yuzu rice wine was the best. Everything is tasty but pricey.
very korean style old-version pub but interior is very modern. no need to spend time to choose menu as all is more than best. Should try Mak-guli which you can only consume here.
Wolhyang, a nice place to enjoy a special makgeolli - the Boksoondoga with kimchi pancakes, stews and abalone rice. Food is decent and a great place for group catch up, so can order more to share. Better to make reservation for dinner, as it is quite popular.

The food and drinks here are definitely good! My friends and I visited to try makgeolli, and not only was there a large range of makgeolli to order, there was a large variety of food to complement the drinks as well. We ended up getting lunch sets, and thus had pot rice, spicy pork, tofu and ripened kimchi, all of which was really tasty and came in fairly large portions. The only issue would be price, as prices here can be on the expensive side. That said, the lunch sets have really great value, and makgeolli prices are slashed during the lunch period. Nonetheless, this place is still worth a visit for dinner. The atmosphere is classy and comfortable, and service is excellent. Just be aware of the price point you're walking into.
