Rates for work done are by no means cheap and not all services are offered. My car had an oil leak and was told the technician 'didn't want to know,' about diagnosing and fixing. They offer basic repairs and servicing, but I was able to do the MOT work at a fraction of the price. The MOT was fair and honest and they put you under no pressure to have the work done at their centre. So a happy ending in the end as i got the car passed after a few hours spanner work on my drive. Staff are helpful and polite so would use again for an MOT.

I took my car to Halfords (Wokingham) because two unpleasant noises were coming from under the bonnet. I was told by the man at the desk that the car needed lots of new things to fix the noises, one of which was the timing belt kit (that had been changed just 9 months before, but they didn't know that, so I immediately thought the quote was suspicious). I asked them if what they had quoted was definitely what I needed to fix the problem, or if it was a \stab in the dark\ to try to eliminate the noise. I was assured that the man quoting was a \master technician\ and that it wasn't just a \stab in the dark\. The quote came to just shy of 750. I then got a friend of a friend to look at it (an actual master technician), and he found the problem within minutes - one of the tensioners had cracked and it was responsible for both noises. He fixed it for 150 and that was full price (not mates rates). I wouldn't usually bother leaving a review, but I'm sick of crooks in the motor industry.

Went in for just a free battery check but came out with so much more. Super friendly staff who sorted and fixed my car with everything it needed for my long journey later that day without me asking. Couldn't recommend them more. Big thanks to Jazz and Ansu.

The centre in Wokingham is conveniently located (for me!) and easy to book online. My main reason for visits are MOTs which are competitively priced. Other necessary work has been done in a timely manner and also priced fair. The staff I deal with are friendly and efficient. Still a happy punter after several years of custom.
