Most Fridays I have fish and chip Friday. Normally have cod which is always freshly prepared and lovely. Sometimes have haddock again very tasty. Portion sizes are excellent and the staff are very efficient and friendly. All up a first class chippy.

Without a doubt one of the finest chip shops in England. The chips are so well cooked, light and fluffy inside and crispy on the outside. My fish and battered sausage was cooked to perfection. I also had the curry sauce which was beautiful. Such friendly helpful staff too. I ordered over the phone, and it was ready within minutes of me arriving at the shop. Well done Wirksworth chipshop! I found out they do online ordering too, I was amazed! Def worth a visit!!
Just been for fish and chips and pie and chips. Absolutely 1st class. Not been for years and don't live local but will definitely be back. Faultless. Thank you.
Really nice chips, decent price and get alot of chips from my experience. Do a lovely mixed kebab and chips. Defo reccommend
First time visit tonight . Was all good to start with. Then the young lady was not v informative of what was happening . We just presummed when she only did part our order that it was nit fully able to be completed as when we looked the order we wanted was there ???. So we then waited and we where asked to stand away from the counter with no explinarion . Then there where a few people in the shop . Which the manager was a little upset as only 4 people where allowed in the shop . So we where asked if we could wait out side . Which we where a little annoyed about . As we where waiting for our food completion . Still no explination as to what we where waiting for. Then we where finally called in apologised to for the wait and what we where actually waiting for offered a drink on the house. Communication is a valid thing . First time coming food was OK. The chips where soaked in the sauce after waiting so long for the rest of our order. So we have decided that we may not come back again. Shame really first impressions last not the impression I appreciate especially when the weather is not at all good for waiting outside. Covid 19 is a real worrying thing so if you had of explained at the beginning we would have waited in the van away from the shop . Food was then cold had to warm the fish and chips up creating it to be more soggy. Like having a blob of warm potatoe in shape of chips. Try communication next time. Politeness does not cost a penny .
