The cottages and rooms are very comfortable and pleasant with a little garden space in front of them and calm environment, however the food was not good and we had a hard time to digest it.

If you are looking for a four-star accommodation, please be aware. You do not get what you want to expect from a four-star accommodation. If it is old but clean, it is not a problem. But this is old, broken, filthy and unsafe for children. Broken glass on the floor, broken beer bottles, open electricity, graffiti and so on. People working there are very friendly and helpful, but the accommodation by itself is terrible. This is not worth your four-star money!

We stayed an long weekend over here. We booked the wrong date and they were very easy going and helped us out. The room was very nice but a little dusty. Also the swimming pool was a little dirty on the edges. Beside this a very nice hotel with an exquisit breakfast menu
Great location, very nice rooms. Great breakfast. Swimming pool, sauna, cart racing track, tennis etc. Very relaxing atmosphere.
The wellness facilities were modern and clean. Just like the renovated main building. Sadly we had a small 'house' which was a bit outdated. The furniture was waered but all the accomodations were present. The shower was too small for tall persons, touching the ceiling with your head. The restaurant was good, we ate well during 3 days. The beverage prices were expensive.
The place is an awesome location and easily accessible. Hotel has covered parking (9 per night), a play room for kids, Pool and sauna. Though I visited the place in late summer, the place seems to have good access to ski lifts in the winter. The room was spacious with a nifty kitchenette quietly Hiden away behind the cabinet doors. The place is very clean and well maintained. The staff here speak a but English so you can get by without too much hassle if you're not a German speaking person. The restaurant downstairs is just amazing and they accommodated a new dish because we were vegetarian and there were not many choices on the menu. The pool and sauna are well maintained, clean and free. A family friendly place and a must stay if you're in Winterberg!
