I recently moved into the area and went here to get myself some beers for the night. I was trying to decide what to get and the shop assistant asked if I needed help, I said I was looking for something cheap and cheerful for tonight - he told me I should go to Tescos. I bought my 3 beers and left. The next day I went to the extremely friendly booze shop down the road where they actually know their stock and bought all my spirits for my home bar there. As if a shop with only one type of bitters is trying to be snobby.

Used Wine Rack quite often and the staff are usually really helpful. Unfortunately, on my visit there today there was a very unhelpful chap behind the counter, when asking him about beers he was quite confrontational, unhelpful and actually rather condescending. We’re not the confrontational type of people so didn’t say anything at the time and tried to joke it off with the guy however ... nothing was going to make this guys day any better. Really disheartening to do a bad review however I can only hope this will help the business in future as it’s such a shame we were welcomed with such animosity.
