What a lovely place this was. Friendly staff, great food/service and well spaced. Definitely worth a 2nd visit!
This afternoon we treated ourselves to Lunch at the Windowbox as we’ve done on previous occasions. This afternoon whilst eating my meal a man stood close to me, shouting at his young son who was at the other end of the Cafe. My husband asked him to please wear his mask especially as he wasn’t Social Distancing. He became verbally abusive n threaten my husband with physical violence!!! The Staff saw what was happening n didn’t intervene. The Swearing n threats continued and the staff totally ignored the situation. Management have a duty to keep both their Staff n Customers safe!! They failed this afternoon.
The worst attempt at being \COVID-19 safe\ I've seen. Lots of tables in use and seemingly no changes made for COVID-19, no distancing; staff with ineffective \masks\, one was wearing a translucent plastic shield which rose from the neck and barely covered the mouth and certainly not the nose; groups of people at one table clearly from different households which contravened current restrictions; and three people stood at the till without masks, next to our table, for over 10 minutes,again contravened current restrictions; our table itself (an tall island table) positioned us directly opposite and facing other customers with no separation, it goes on...
My favourite place for breakfast hands down! Always enjoy my food and coffee every time, plus the staff are very friendly.
