Don’t bother! We went in for a nice hot drink after spending a couple of hours on the lake. My mum asked me to order her a coffee and then went off to use the toilet. She was met by a very rude waitress who responded as if she was speaking to a piece of dirt, “order then toilet!” I saw the puzzled look on my mum’s face and asked the waitress to let her use the toilet and that I would be ordering whilst she was in there. I was met with the exact same nasty, rude waitress. I asked to speak to the manager who explained a lot of people go in there just to use the toilets. I can understand that but I cannot understand how a waitress can be so impolite. We went and had tea and cake elsewhere! I hope the owner gets to read to see how his/her place is being run.

Nice and cozy cafeteria by the Lakeside, chai latte was delicious . Also serves breakfast options. They also serves breakfast, ice creams etc. nice seating area inside and outside to enjoy the lovely view.

They have signed up to the Eat Out to Help Out government scheme but are not taking part. Wouldn't mind so much if there was notices stating they weren't. Also best be aware they didn't have any open toilets. The cafe itself is probably the worst I have been to in regards to protecting customers from covid. There were little forms to fill in on the tables for track and trace but you have to grab a bunch to just pull one out. Pencils are on the table for anyone to touch. Tables are far too close together. Staff seem a bit snotty. Didn't go back. Visited a nicer cafe in the area a few times, that gave the discount and was not trying to fool customers.

I liked the place. Nice coffee. Very nice bacon roll. Very nice soup. But no toilet and no 50% eat out to help out scheme.

We were so disappointed going into this cafe over other cafes around the area. We found the staff not very friendly and quite rude. The hot chocolate was just like warm water couldn't even taste anything once the marshmallows had gone and the brownie tasted cheap. Plus the toilets you have to go outside for and considering it was a cold and windy day it wasn't ideal.
