Wow. What incredible history. Spanning the majority of the literate ages of England, there are so many influential moments that have happened at this site and influential people that are laid to rest here. There were the most helpful people employed as guides to answer any questions about any aspect of the building and it's history. Friendly and knowledgeable, they really helped turn, what I believe was an expensive museum, into an interesting and absorbing experience. Only star missing was that 20 admission fee. It probably is fair for the condition of the building and quality of exhibits, but, unless those guides are there, I would argue it wouldn't be worth that price.

The cathedral is an amazing architectural monument of the epochs. It had been developed and extended for many centuries. Visiting it is a must-do stunning experience for any visitor of Winchester. Blue badge guides will be willing to provide any historical background and interesting facts related to the cathedral.
Wow, where to begin!! We knew we'd love it but wow, what a fantastic Cathedral! Everyone we spoke to were both extremely knowledgeable and friendly and to topped it up, we could enjoy the fab exhibition they are running at the moment \Kings & Scribes \ which is simply explendid! We went there to enjoy the rich historical aspects of Winchester and boy oh boy, what a threat! The entrance fee is very fair for what the Cathedral offers!! Definitely a must visit if in Winchester.
Really amazing cathedral. Price is fair considering you get a 30 minute tour and they have lots of staff who know lots about the place. They have museumised some of the upstairs which was very interesting. So beautiful and so much history
