Always happy with the staff and the way they look after my dog. But to be honest, I didn’t appreciate the way they wouldn’t allow my autistic son through the door as he won’t wear a mask as he’s exempt even when I explained the situation to them. I just think they could of explained it a bit better instead of just saying your sons going to have to wait outside. He basically got confused and it upset him a bit.

Cavan vets, always very friendly with a reliable speedy service. When ordering meds, sometimes ready the same day, but in my experience always the next day. Thank you Cavan vets for a reliable, friendly service .

Booked an appointment time to wait half an hour in the cold and rain outside with a sick pet along with many others. They had a ‘buzzer’ system which seemed to work on a first come first serve basis (appointment didn’t appear to mean much!) No one allowed in the waiting room yet a load of veterinary nurses all sat behind the counter gossiping without masks... no social distancing (work bubbles do not exist!) Eventually seen a female vet who couldn’t tell me what was wrong with my pet, took a set of bloods and charged me 101!! Received a telephone call later in the day to tell me blood machine didn’t read the blood results that well but didn’t seem to be much showing up?! My whole experience was less than satisfactory and was charged an extortionate price for a service that didn’t really work!! I would suggest using an alternate vets, I will definitely be looking to go elsewhere. If you book an appointment in the winter I suggest you tog up and ensure your pet has a coat/blanket as you are left to wait outside! Too many people booked in at the same time which also suggests it’s a conveyor belt and all about the money!
