So where to begin. I took my car to motor save Scunthorpe in June due to a rattling from passenger side front. They told me it was drop link and few other parts. I asked them to do the work which was a bill of 250. 8 weeks later and very little driving due to lockdown the rattle returned. I took it back to them and they told me it was my drive shaft. It will cost 290 but we Carnt get the part. I then left there and took it to another local garage. They lifted it and had a look and found the problem. It wasnt my drive shaft it was my drop link. A bill of 40. This garage works on commission. The more problems they find the more work they can get from u the more money the scam out of you. Please avoid this garage. I will do everything in my power to make sure all my fiends no. Worse place in town. Charge you for one repair knowing you will be back. I will be takin this further.

I'll start with the positives, have used several times in the past for brakes, tyres and exhausts and couldn't complain about the price or service. Unfortunately I've been put off after my last visit (just before lockdown started) I took my Volvo in for remedying a noise from what I suspected was a faulty wheel bearing, they inspected the car and stated that it was a combination of worn shock absorbers, tyre wear and tracking with a bill of approx 550 to fix. I had doubts that this was the issue so I decided not to go ahead with the repair and the car stood for most of the lockdown. I have just come back from an independent Volvo specialist who charged me 132 to replace the wheel bearing and remove some 2 locking wheel nuts (key damaged from last tyre fitting) and the car is now fixed. Would dread to think what would have happened if I had gone ahead with the work at Wilcos. I will most likely still use them for exhausts and accessories if they're good value but will not use for moving parts or diagnostics again!

Superb service from the Scunthorpe branch as always. Had a quote of almost 300 to have the back box of my exhaust replaced. Wilco Motosave did the lot for 84.98 including parts and labour. Great service all round and highly recommended. Thank you!

Too many empty shops, canvassers with sky TV, virgin, RAC and such like, and shops are generally of no interest to me personally. A decent cafe would do well in there. It's always clean and tidy though.
