(this was written at a hot August day, and therefore the rant on the AC, if you are not coming when it is around 30c outside, then all is perfect, keep on). Food is great. Even for a vegetarian like me. The food feels authentic and the staff are super nice. Beer is fresh and lovely. Only downside is that there is no air conditioning. Therefore, if it is hot, it will be hot. Keep in mind. Also, tap water come lukewarm.

I absolutely love schnitzel and anything breaded. Unfortunately, I am allergic to wheat. We found this place online and it had a gluten free (but not 'everything free' ) menu. It was sooooo yummy! My husband, who is German, loved his schnitzel. Great local pub, but classier atmosphere. They due the gluten free out of love and not requirement.

Great place for local fare. The food was hearty and tasty - an excellent choice if you want Austrian pub food. Its slightly out of the tourist core but that's a positive as the prices are lower and the clientele is mostly Austrian. Menus and staff spoke English so no worries if you don't speak German.

We dined here on Sept 24, 2019. We arrived around 8:30 pm, so a reservation was not necessary. Solid menu of classic and new dishes. I had the goulash - which was the best I had in Europe during the vacation (better than Czech Republic and Hungary goulash!). Very attractive décor, well run business. The family management was visible and active. I will eat here again, if/when I return to Vienna.
