Nice restaurant from Sri Lanka. Very attentive staff and delicious food. Nothing pretentious, but I love it for its simplicity.
Nice Sri Lankan restaurant if you're feeling for curry. We opted for the tasting plate of five vegetarian curries and two meat choices so we chose chicken and turkey. It was served with pakoras, papadums, rice, and sambals. I read that Sri Lankan food is hot so I made sure to ask for mild. The dhal and chicken were my favourite dishes, wasn't too thrilled with the turkey, so would suggest giving that one a miss. They only accept cash, no credit cards.
Best in town for Sri Lankan foods. A bit expensive but very tasty
Traditional Hindi kitchen, not afraid to make it spicy (careful how you order!). Friendly staff. Portions are not to big, however they ask if you want more and in this way no good food is spoiled. Price is moderate. Near Flemings hotel, 5 min walk from museum quarter.
Always friendly staff and very tasty food! A lot of curries and gluten free options. The interieur is a little neutral I think.
Very tasty food, and when they say something is spicy, it actually is, which is a huge plus for me. Had meat Samosa for appetizer which was really good, and chili chicken which also was very good, and it really packed a punch when it comes to spice level. The staff was very friendly and nice. Was able to sit outside and enjoy the meal there which was nice.
Curry Insel is a Sri Lankan Restaurant which is in business now since several years. They have the typical dishes one would expect: Devilled, Kotthu Roti, a good range of vegetarian, fish anx meat curries, different rice varieties (e.g. Milk rice, plain rice, Pittu, Lemon Rice, Yoghurt rice, plain rice) and an impressive range of different breads, a good choice of tea and desserts. The personell, needless to say, is charming and very helpful even with special requests. Check out the homepage or even better the menu right there! There is only one chance to get the same or possibly better food, this is by travelling to Sri Lanka.
