I was looking for a quite place in the center of Vienna to taste the typical Apfelstrudel and I enjoyed it very much here. Really good and tasty strudel. I prefer contactless payment, corona or not; but hey it is not so common in Vienna and this café had a sign saying that they only accept cash. So, I chose the apfelstrudel to contactless payment and was worth it. The price-quality ratio was good.

The service was attentive and quick but unfortunately the food was mediocre..... schnitzel was deep fried with old oil and potato salad was borderline inedible ️good place to ‘people watch’ though if you sit on the outside table

Whenever I go back to Vienna one of the first stops is Café Diglas for various reasons: being welcomed by the owner and shown to a table, the characteristic ambience of a traditional Viennese Kaffeehaus, and most importantly, the wide range of delicious cakes. Quite often, however, I tend to start with Eiernockerl for lunch; even though I know to make this typical Austrian dish myself, I cannot quite get the consistency to the point Café Diglas can produce it. The real treat is one of their cakes with coffee; all are nice and I usually just go with whatever takes my fancy.

This cafe is right in the city center. It is very pretty (recognisable because pink), it has a friendly disposition and the staff are amicable. We went there for breakfast, the variety of cakes is ample as cakes are their specialty. Not very expensive for a cafe in the city center. All in all I suggest it, enjoy! :)

Amazing place! This really gives out the old coffee house vibe. Although the decoration is a little less conservative. ;) Nevertheless, the coffee is just amazing und I always love to go there and relax.

Even as an Austrian native I love this place so much. It’s the original of the two Diglas and you can find anything and more: the unfriendly waiters, the delicious cottage strudel, the coffee that wakes up the dead, the newspaper stand. Love the place and have brought back several guests who all love it too

Great spot for your morning caffeine hit and a spot of breakfast. They make their own cakes and they look amazing I’ll be back to test them!! The breakfast was good - the bacon and eggs (Big breakfast) was just that bacon with two fried eggs on it - great dish - not really that big - but quite filling. Their special Diglas tea (Ginger, lemon, mint) is excellent!! Note: Cash Only - rare these days and can be annoying if you, like us don’t carry cash!

Nice backup if everything else is packed. Great cafe, ho-hum coffee (expected much better), and NO bankomat (direct debit) payment. In a time where COVID is a serious concern, the least that could be offered is cashless payments so I don't have to touch money from someone else.
