The first time I went to this chip shop was 36 years ago and I regularly went for many years until I recently revisited this place as I am originally from the local area but have not been back in a number of years so I had to go in. The food is Superb, it’s your old traditional style fish and chips taste with that old nostalgic Ora. The inside is all decorated magnificently, very clean and tidy, a 5 star food hygiene rating and the staff are pleasant and polite, always happy to help. The food hasn’t changed at all, it’s still excellent so I don’t know what to recommend as it is all good but I definitely recommend that if your ever in the area go into Whitworth Chippy, I guarantee you, you won’t be disappointed.10/10

Friendly staff explaining different curry sauces available .freshly cooked fish chips ..delicious will definitely go back soon mmm ,, great valve too ..
The chips was like they had been reheated from the afternoon and my fish was none existed under all that batter. Very unhappy for the money we paid. They are better through the day. Will not be going again for are fish and chip tea.
Great place, accept card payments... Only niggle is that Haggis hasn't been available past few times
