Not been for about 3 or 4 years. I was staying with a friend who lives nearby, and so my friend took me to see the Lighthouse. You do have to pay to go into the Lighthouse, but otherwise, (apart from goods in the shop), it is free to walk round. There are paid activities that children can take part in. The shop is nice, with a range of things that relate to the Lighthouse and the local area. There is a car park, and they sometimes have a burger van there. There are also some toilets (I think) as well. The Lighthouse does get cut off at high tide, (there is a causeway to the island that the Lighthouse is on), so you should probably check tide times. The area around the Lighthouse is a good place to see wildlife. They do have seals going there. Just before the causeway, (I think), there are several benches for people to sit on. It is a nice peaceful place to visit. Lots of the people who live locally go there, as it is a good place to visit, if you are feeling stressed or anxious. The Lighthouse does have a website, and you can pre-book some activities. Hopefully, when everyone is out of the current lockdown, people will be able to visit it. A lovely place to spend time at.

A beautiful lighthouse, and an amazing spot to seal watch as they're always milling about on the rocks. Toilets, a car park, and generally a snack truck make it perfect as a rest stop on a walk down the beach. If you're an early riser, the sunrise is lovely here.

A quick jaunt across the short causeway on a rather cold but beautifully sunny day. The large waves crashing in just a hundred metres or so away were very impressive & easily visible from all around the base of the lighthouse. The birdwatching hide wasn't open due to covid but not needed for good vantage points to see several types of sea birds. For the views, & a bracing seaside walk it's highly recommended.

We are lucky enough to live 5 minutes drive from this world famous lighthouse, Great place to visit, but it is tide dependent. Beautiful bit of coastline.

What a great way to spend an hour - low tide, high views! The staff were brilliant - so helpful. I'm classed as 'senior' but the steps and ladder at the end posed mo problems. The stairs are pretty narrow and the distance down, quite breathtaking but the views from the top are well worth the effort. There's a lovely little shop but I think a trick is missed by there not being a small cafe and toilet. So many people walk the causeway to see the birds and seals, good money could be flowing into the lighthouse preservation coffers.
