My friend and I went here just for a thirst quenching lime and soda as we had already eaten. The landlady was very welcoming, as were the other staff. We were able to sign the lovely book of condolences for Dame Vera Lynn in peace and quiet, which was particularly important to my friend. Will definitely go here again, to eat next time. Thank you for making our first visit very pleasant.

Very friendly service, busy on Sunday but still reasonable wait. However the food is just mediocre.
Just been for a walk through Ditchling, The White Horse saved our lives with a lovely hot chocolate.
We stayed here overnight with some friends. The food and drink was mediocre. The staff weren’t overly friendly as they seemed more interested in looking after the locals. Fair enough I suppose! Very disappointed with rooms. Very small and grubby marks on walls and paintwork. No hand towels and only hand wash on basin. So very basic for a 95 room!
Nice meal, nice beers good amount of room for family to sit
