Great country pub, we had the Friday fish and chips, very good. Due to current Covid restrictions the food was served in a takeaway box, but still very good. We stayed over night in our camper in the car park. They have toilets and a shower available. Also some great walks in the area.

Very good atmosphere, Land lord and land lady great hosts. Lovely location and setting, idealic on hot days to sit outside next to a cool fresh stream. Very convenient If you are staying at the YHA next door. Dog friendly, 24 hour licence, good food and drink.
Fantastic traditional pub that really stands above the rest. We stopped by for their fish and chips night with the children and not only did we have the best fish and chips I can remember in my adult life but there was a charming atmosphere, friendly staff who made you feel like you were welcome in their home. Despite all of the extremely well executed social distancing measures, you got exactly what you want from a \Local\! There was plenty of space outside for the children to enjoy and which made enjoying the great selection of well selected draughts all the more enjoyable. Thank you.
Loved our roast dinner. The chicken was huge and roast potatoes cooked ro perfection. We had a plate of roast chicken with potatoes. Veg of cauliflower cheese, carrots and beans came next. And there was a 3rd plate just for cabbage and gravy. My other half had a roast nut for lunch which was extremely tasty. All washed down with a nice merot. A very nice lunch and very filling. Highly recommended
