Bought 20 oysters, a dressed crab and a pack of kippers from Dave. My mum said they were the best kippers she had ever had. I ha e to say the crab and oysters were amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Will be visiting again very soon. Be afraid Dave. Be very afraid lol! 2nd visit to Whitby Seafish. All the way from Rochdale. Best oysters ever. Crab and kippers too. This is the best retail fresh fish outlet we have discovered in the UK. It beats, for example, Etaples in the Pas de Calais we regularly visit, though Etaples has a greater variety of species for sale . It is also much better than several Kent coast fish outlets we use occasionally . The Whitby company’s cod, haddock, salmon and kippers are far and away outstanding and excellent value. An essential visit when we are in North Yorkshire and we take home copious amounts to Kent frozen for later consumption.
Bought two crabs to dress myself. They were not opened in shop and it was only when back at holiday home found out full of a watery sloppy mess. We are lovers of crab and have them on a regular basis but have never been sold such poorly prepared crab 10 down the drain. Very disappointed.
