Spent 2 nights on barley pool.on arrival told to use zig and fake baits. Did not see any fish of size as web site suggest.the only fish in that lake are crayfish.proof two crayfish pots in margins. Showers and cabin could do with a clean.very disappointed.

Spent 48 hrs 3 off us never had a run ,rat infested banks and boiling hot weather which might explain the blank the shop was not open once the whole time we were there, the main pool we fished had 1 tiny little oxygenator and definitely needs another, the bed is very weedy and the hand sanitizer was empty on arrival and the same bottles were empty when we left ,the most baffling point is as I said it was hot so you d think you would see fish on the surface between the 3 off us we saw 4 over 48 hrs ,disappointed to say the least

Been here a couple times now, cracking fishery run by friendly helpful people yet keeping it very natural and not too commercialised. There are various lakes to fish some on ticket and some as lake bookings many am still to fish tho. The shop is well stocked for its size and showers toilets etc always kept up together and clean. On site are also holiday let's and a lodge for 3 anglers with it's own lake.
