Dog friendly is fantastic I only go to places if my dog can come in with me. There is beer garden too. The food is fantastic!. We had steak and it came with all the trimmings and plenty of them . Home made chips too. Highly recommend can't wait to go back.

Whilst on a business trip in mid-covid ridden December, I was looking for a friendly pub, with good beer and food. I absolutely found it in the Wheatsheaf Inn! They were very friendly and accommodating, despite my calling so late in the evening. The beer was excellent and the meal superb. A very interesting and delicious take on a prawn cocktail followed by superb locally sourced battered haddock and home cooked chips. Despite the restrictions covid brought, the pub was cosy, comfortable and the staff very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to returning, hopefully in happier, less restricted times and would not hesitate to highly recommend the Wheatsheaf Inn for an evening meal. Thank you all very much.

*edit* owner? Replied - as you can see from all of their responses perhaps it’s time they went on a social media/customer service training course. Perhaps this is why they’re struggling! Ok - very strangely run pub, they open on certain days for certain purposes. It’s not my business but I would be appalled if I knew my manager wasn’t opening most days particularly in the current economic climate. That said it’s a pub that sometimes has a good variety of beers. Sometimes it doesn’t as they run out pretty quick. Also sometimes they do food. But not all the time. However I am sure when they do it’s probably good. One day I will figure out their schedule.
