Northside Park

Went for the first time to visit the shed hill. It's was great. Family friendly and the kids were all courteous. Can't wait to visit in the summer, too.

This is a lovely park with a lot of cool and unexpected features like a sled hill, outdoor workout equipment, bridges, tennis/pickleball courts, small zip line for kids, log cabins, etc. A great place to go for a run or walk along a gravel path. Great views from the top of the sled hill. Can't wait to go back!

The only thing that makes this park less than perfect is the people. Besides me and my kids, I haven’t seen anyone else wear a mask and no social distancing. So, you take that info however you want. The equipment is great. It’s new and there are a lot of things to play on. The ground is covered in a padding that is covered by AstroTurf. Good walking area and lots of picnic tables. My kids thought the best part of the park was the zip line. They also have some exercise equipment on an area right off the walking path. There is a baseball field, but no basketball court. So there is a bell on the equipment and there seems to be a perpetual stream of kids ringing the bell. Maybe bring your headphones???

I hadn't been to the park in decades. And then only to the tennis courts. The play area is amazing!! Such imaginative equipment, and even for adults! I've seen fitness areas, but this was so cleverly done and laid out to be able to see the rest of the children's area. I felt like I was 10 years old again!

My kid broke her arm at this park.. I love this park! I love all of Wheaton's parks but this park is the best, hands down. I'm not sure what that means, hands down, it sounded right, hands down the best, like what does that mean, like no questions, hands down please, it's already been decided and a known fact by the majority, then I guess it's pretty fitting. Hands down the best park period. Shout out to the parks department by the way. Kudos Wheaton Park Dept, Kudos
