Always a pleasure to visit this gorgeously scenic coastal area. In terms of current times it is a shame the human race have no idea how to read well placed signs for one-way entrances or footpaths. Such as the main bridge leading towards the Abbey. Otherwise a lovely place to visit and no fault of Whitby for people who skipped reading classes during their time at school
Pretty in one direction and easy to get to,can park your car right next to it so I guess its wheelchair accessible too
Visited around 5pm on a warm summer day. There is plenty of seating to relax and absorb the views and very little litter to distract you from your ice cream. A nice way to round off a lovely day in Whitby.
Whitby is such a beautiful place, the Whalebone is a landmark. Kids, and adults, are impressed by the sheer size of the Whales Jaw, but also the view... from that high point you can see all the coastal side of old town Whitby including the Whitby Abbey which is another landmark you must see.
