Never thought I’d be writing a negative review on this favoured oatcake shop of my local area. However, lately I have been experiencing very poor customer service. For instance I went in the other day and was spoken to very poorly, the man behind the counter had an attitude towards me throughout my order then proceeded to tell me I should have came in earlier, there was still over an hour till he closed but he refused to make a fresh batch of pikelets or give me one of the three bags under the counter because “they were his and he’s taking them home” I walked out of the shop empty handed and shan’t be going again anytime soon. I never had this problem when the old man and his wife ran the shop and I feel for them deeply as I fear this man (who I’m presuming is there son) will ruin the business completely.

Good service, very good quality oatcakes and do gluten free.
Not bad tasting oatcakes but what puts me off is the greasy haired assistant who makes them slumped at the side or round the back frantically puffing on a cigarette every 10 minutes rather puts me off not hygienic and not a very good advert for the shop
Delicious! Fabulous vegan options and gluten free option. Can't knock that..
Fabulous oatcakes and certainly the best and only GF oatcakes work buying.
