I went to the summer camp a few years ago. I had a not-so-great time—I approached the owner, asking if I could do harder projects, as I already had sewing experience. She responded extremely harshly and irrationally. I left the camp the next day and went to a great camp called Newton Sewing Studio.

Great place to go as an adult with a couple of friends for a sip & sew. We all had a blast creating - the staff made it easy and fun, even though we came with little to no sewing experience. We all felt happy, energized and accomplished walking out with a \uniquely our own\ finished product. Also is a great place for kids. My two elementary school sons have enjoyed going after school and creating. The staff was terrific at getting them up to speed on how to sew and at letting them have at it. They are so proud of their creations. They were able to accommodate both my sons, who are very different styles. One wanted to do more open ended type of work, creating what he envisioned in his head. The other needed more concrete and defined project to do. They were great at facilitating both. I love that you don't have to sign them up for a whole session, but can do things here or there as it fits into our schedule.
My daughter had a her birthday at Hipstitch this weekend and loved it! The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. They kept the party engaging and fun for the group and every guest walked away with an adorable completed project! My husband and I were really pleased and my daughter was thrilled!
My daughter celebrated her 9th birthday there and they had a blast! The class is fun and very professional and every child finished with a pillow or bag regardless of skill level. The staff was very friendly and everyone was very happy when they left. We will definitely be back!
We just held our 5-year-olds birthday party at Hipstitch. Nicola and her team were wonderful -- even developing a new craft (Hippo puppet) based on the birthday boy's favorite animal! All the kids had such a great time, and we were able to bring a cake as well. Thanks so much Hipstitch!
