We managed to sail up to Brighton Marina in our trmaran after the outboard refused to do anything other than tickover, and thanks to the marina staff and their rib we made it to a visitor's berth. We were so lucky that West's were based there. They visited the boat and quickly diagnosed that the carb needed cleaning. It was removed very quickly and efficiently while the outboard was on the back of the boat, cleaned the next day and refitted and adjusted equally quickly first thing the following day. The engine started straight away and is now running better than it has for most of the time since we bought the boat, new, five years ago, despite having been serviced three times by approved Honda service agents. The outboard specialist at West's was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in giving advice on how to look after the engine in the future and the team at West's were very efficient, helpful and reliable in all their dealings with us. West Marine did a fantastic, professional job on the items we needed to work at.The engineers (Karl and Steve) and office team (Roz), who worked on our boat were easy to talk to and clearly experienced and skilled at their tasks. The team spent time teaching us about our boat, helping us to make our own decisions on what we needed to have worked on. Engines servicing - they talk us trough every detail of our engines, at the end we felt like we became engineers as well. Cutlass bearing replacement, Head repairs and Advices on products, atc atc. We’re very happy with the work. I have to say the West Marine did for us much more then was in their job description. Little big favours here and there and they also take our boat back to pontoon once all repairs done. We were looking for an engineering team we could trust. I’m happy to say we found them in West Marine!!!! THANK YOU WEST MARINE!!!!
I popped in on the off-chance of getting some time-dependant work carried out to my boat. They estimated and carried out the work efficiently and I am very pleased. Just as importantly for me they were gentle and understanding with someone who didn't quite know what they were talking about. Thank you West Marine
