Changed my view on this company now, had to go three times, but still had the same problem, if I had not called in at the shop, I would still be waiting for my glasses and lenses. They still don't know if my lenses fit as they gave them to me to take away !!! How the hell are they supposed to see if they are right for me ? This used to be a fantastic opticians in the past, as all our family have gone there since they opened, but these days,

I had my eyetest done in Asda but didn’t like any glasses, so I was recommended to go Specsavers by a friend of mine and I went to the branch in Birmingham, but wasn’t too pleased with the service, then I decided to come to West Bromwich Specsavers and felt instantly welcomed. There was a young man named Junaid, he was really helpful in assisting me over which glasses to pick. Really polite and great service from him. I didn’t have my prescription, so he tried to call Asda, but they weren’t answering, so I said I’ll collect it myself and will return next week to purchase the glasses that he had reserved for me. Brilliant service, my new optician from now on. Well done

I have been before and it was okay. I booked a test for myself as i was having issues with my sight, The lady i spoke to told me they would send a reminder text as i was at work and couldn't make a note of the appointment. I also booked my daughters test as she was due one for a few days later. I didn't received a reminder for my appointment and ended up missing it. I went to them and informed them of this they had nothing to say about it, they also informed me that the problem i was having they could not check it there, I would need to see a eye health whatever. Today was my daughters appointment, before we left out she hand an allergic reaction so i had to wait to see if her medication work, this made us 7 mins late. I tried to call them as usual no answer. The lady informed me she would check if we can still be seen, after waiting they came back saying no because our appointment was for 16.15, I had to show them the text i got for my daughter stating 16.40, which they said we still could not be seen. Its annoying because the time she took speaking we could have been checked in, and it was more than likely if we arrived at 16.40 we would of still been waiting anyway, because even when empty with loads of staff walking around you still have to wait a while. There was no apology for the both booking errors, no apology for the wrong information, no sympathy for taking my 4 year old out in the cold whom just had an reaction to be turned away for being 7 mins late. JOKE!

Awful service, we were asked on arrival if we wanted to pay for a special in-depth scan which we agreed too, this wasn’t carried out and we had to ask before we left for this to be done. Every member of staff seemed to disappear at lunch time leaving 2 to look after shop. After choosing glasses we were told to wait in waiting area. 2 other people who then went to choose glasses were seen and sorted before us, no organisation at all. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Idealy situated in the new square..all on ground level which is great for disabled friendly helpful efficent staff with an always proffesional attitude and level of care given by opticians. Spacious well layed out with an excellent choice of glasses...contact lenses and also a hearing aid centre with good prices and offers.
