Really interesting place. Didn't spend long in there as it was a nice summers day so was wearing shorts (Would recommend that if you visit long trousers.....Lots and lots of nettles and biting insects.) In the little time that we where there spotted 4 Lizards and a magical tree stump with almost glowing yellow water underneath. If any one can tell me how this is caused in would be appreciated. I've looked on the internet but only get results for water infections!

i loved i here but there's very little parking space. its a peat bog wetland. you can walk along the edge and i would recommend that you take binoculars. There are no facilities so unless you want to sit on the grass take a chair. it is a beautiful place.
Good walking area. Need to be fit and able to get over some of the area. Varied country walk with some good views.
Great allround experience, especially if you like being in the wild but be careful it can be a dangerous place being a bog. The photos are of the small holding my grandmother lived in for 49years until about 1960. It was immaculate when she left.
Although this reserve looks interesting, and has a number of circular walks, it is difficult to find and parking is very limited.
