It is absolutely fantastic to be still able to have a ride on these wonderful steam train run by a group of volunteers. They journey through some really beautiful countryside so make sure you have a camera with you. The staff are all very friendly and helpful which makes for a great day out.

Excellent railway. True enthusiasts, who know what they're talking about. Engine shed/museum is really interesting, plus plenty for young children. Very family friendly. We worth a visit. So interesting.
Friendly personable staff and volunteers. Free car parking, great quality food, interesting locomotives and carriages, brilliant hands-on interactive museum, not too long for families with children, reasonably priced - pay once and ride all day. Best railway bookshop in the UK!
Well worth a visit. You get a train ride to the museum. The museum is full off trains and you can climb in and out of three of them. Great for young kids. There's also a miniature railway included in the price. Toilet facilities, cafe, car park, and a gift shop.
