Fantastic place to visit. Really interesting house with lots of history helpfully explained by the excellent guides. The grounds are lovely too for a picnic and for chilling out and make an enjoyable visit even if you don't go into the house. However I would strongly advise going into the house as it's so interesting! Very friendly staff dotted all over the place and also everything is well thought-out in these covid times.

Entering from the northern, seaward side of the estate, we parked in the cheaper village lot you'll first see on the right (free for the first two hours!). From there, it's a longer walk through the gate and then to the house, but our visit was for the exercise and exterior perspectives of the house and grounds. If you have children you'll make them happier parking near the house, and paying a bit more, to save their \soles\. Circumnavigating the house took over an hour -- by a meandering path, by a lake, and reading the occasional historical placard, snapping photos, and enjoying the antics of a free-roaming herd of deer. It was enjoyable, and was free.

A beautiful place to spend with friends and family. I had a good picnic there. You can get a chance to see so many deer so closely. Looking forward to visiting there again.

After years of coming to Wells we thought we'd try Holkham Hall for the first time & it definitely won't be the last visit what a fantastic day 4 parking all day the house & walled gardens are extra if you want to see them the walled garden I highly recommend it was a lovely setting & well worth the small extra charge otherwise the grounds are HUGE with tracks everywhere that you can roam at will it's a great way to tire the kids out with nature trails wildlife to see & plenty of deer roaming free there are food & drink areas or just take a picnic given the way things are I have to applaud their covid-19 precautions as well everything is set to keep you safe & compliments to all their wonderful staff who are friendly helpful & very knowledgeable dogs are allowed but on leads at all times & how pleasant it was to see a lack off \keep off the grass\ signs it really is a free roam thank you to everyone for a fantastic day see you again when we visit next year

What a spectacular stately home. One can easily spend a whole day there as the gardens are so extensive and beautiful. The house is amazing and bookings have to be made in advance due to covid. Totally worth it.
