I visited here due to a persistent pain near my shoulder blade. After the best massage I have received from many different therapy types I continued with a number of sessions of massage, acupuncture and cups. As a result my body and mind all feel in balance with an overall general improvement in everything as well as resolving my initial issue. Thank you!

I came to see Dr. Shi last year for fertility treatment, having tried for two years with my husband to conceive. I’d also been suffering from long-standing PMS and painful periods. My doctor had advised IVF treatment, but we were very reluctant to go down that route, in view of the risks, to say nothing of the high cost. I popped in to see Dr. Shi on the offchance and she saw me immediately for a consultation and explained the philosophy behind the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approach. She explained that many factors can interfere with fertility and there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to any health condition; every individual’s health is different and Chinese Medicine aims to assess the individual’s health and remove blockages, imbalances and stagnation of energy flow (qi) in the body and to raise general vitality. Dr. Shi quickly understood my condition and guessed some of my symptoms and I was impressed by her perceptiveness and understanding. From the following week I undertook a course of acupuncture and herbal medicine. It was the first time I had experienced acupuncture – the very fine needs are almost painless and I wondered why I’d been apprehensive. The herbs were taken as an infusion and reminded me of dandelion root tea. After the first session I felt strangely relaxed and slept solidly that night. Well, within four weeks I was pregnant and our baby daughter was born last month! So in this long-overdue review I want to thank Dr. Shi warmly for all her help and recommend her as I’ve already done to friends and family members, several of whom have since seen her. Dr. Shi is an incredibly kind, caring and professional doctor and my husband and I continue to see her for general health and well-being and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I came to see Dr Shi with numbness in my hands, feet and body. I have had a bad lower back with body & leg pains for a few years, but the numbness came on suddenly a few weeks ago. I felt awful and my Doctor was unsympathetic - telling me it was probably just anxiety and that they would do blood tests to rule out anything serious - but basically I should relax! The blood tests thankfully came back ok but I was left with no advice and a numb body and extremities! I came to see Dr Shi to enquire about acupuncture - and she was far more understanding than my Doctor. After 5 sessions of (intense) massage, acupuncture, cupping and daily herbs - I feel remarkably better and the numbness has gone from my feet and body and my hands are massively improved. I have more sessions to do but I’m confident that my hands will be fine soon too. Dr Shi explained that my aches and pains were due to Toxins and blockages in my system - and her work to remove them is definitely working. I have a lot more energy and I feel as though I am finally getting better. I’m so glad that I took a chance on acupuncture and I would definitely recommend Dr Shi.
The woman hurt me badly with the needles several times, and when I was supposed to pay around 25, the woman ended up charging me 70 and giving me a speech about my life. I left feeling very sad and scammed. She wanted to sell me different herbs. I guess they just take advantage of vulnerable people and they're dangerous handling needles. Somehow they still open which makes me feel sorry for other people being ripped off and manipulated.
