Great Chinese in the Prestwich area where you are immediately made to feel welcome at Welcome House. They are pandemic secure with screening across the entire counter apart from a convenient hole where they take payment and everyone orders from. They use pen and paper and sometimes a CASIO calculator to work out how much you pay which brings a sense of nostalgia to the experience and confidence you will be charged correctly. Their menu is expansive and even have a specials menu. They do Chinese food and also English ‘chippy’ food for those who have less cultured taste buds. It’s a shame this establishment doesn’t offer card payment as everytime I want to go I have no cash on me and the nearest cash machine is a mile away thanks to the recent closure of a neighboring shop (even though they charged 1.50 to extract the cash!!) Overall, I am very happy to recommend this culinary experience to everyone within a 3 mile radius. Further afield, you may find something closer to home that may be as equally satisfying.

Been using this chip shop for years. Definitely the best in prestwich. Always tasty and hot. Not overpriced either. Highly recommend.
they got good tasty food
Food was cold, meat was chewy & duck was dry. Ordered a set meal for 2 people and majority was left uneaten. Took the food back and they only gave me 10 back in return. 100% the worst Chinese I’ve ever been to. Wouldn’t recommend.
