It has everything you expect from an airport, except connection with train. I don't put 5 stars because it's difficult to go(train connection), a student with a Semesterticket in Nordrhein Westfalen, then you don't pay the train or the bus.

Even if it is a small airport it is still modern ambient. You get everything what is necessary. Small Restaurant and duty free Shop. The staff is really nice and friendly. In particular at the security check.
Good Day One night in NRN Weeze airport was one of the worst nights ever I reached the airport in the evening, coming a long way from DUS airport with heavy bags, carrying my computer to wait for my morning flight home. There was nobody in the airport, only some security guys, pretending to be ready for their duty or what. Another person appeared, speaking Greece without any understanding of English. She didn't know where she is, and nobody wanted to help her. This kind of awkward situation can happen to anyone, so I told the security woman, that I should leave my heavy bag for a minute (she said that's Ok) and pulled out the translator and called a taxi for the lost person. 15 minutes after that I was thrown out of the airport with force because I was not \looking for my staff\. The security man was armed and didn't listen to me saying about the lost woman. I hope she got the taxi I called her to the destination she needed, cause I was not able to confirm that. So I spend half of the night sleeping on the asphalt first time in my life and lost my rare solar panel power bank. Then I spoke to the police officer, and he said that I can wait for my flight inside, so I finally got some sleep. Worst Airport security ever. Inhuman, incompetent, immature (no help to woman, just jokes about her). There is no need for such security in this airport, the police are doing just fine. They are a pure waste of money. Changed my opinion about German officers... I had only good feelings about Germany, now they are mixed, and I don't want to come back again.
Good aiport but buses are not punctual.
I will rate this based in my experience on dozens of airports taking into account that this is an international airport. Connections to main cities are not good, in fact you may have a late arrival and be in the middle of nowhere having to pay 200 taxi. So be sure about how you plan your trip. The food or drink offer inside is very limited (especially after the security control virtually only one option). Be ready to pay 3 EUR for water. Better take a beer. With regards to security control it is often poorly dimensioned resulting in long queues (20 to 30 min) so come with time to avoid problems. The good thing is that it is very small so distances inside are very short.
