'Il Bocconcino', Nieuwstad 52, Weesp. If this pittoresque place would be located in Amsterdam centre, one might think to be lured into a tourist trap. Well, not here! 5 small dishes of my own choice from 30 picks, for a steal at 12,50 including a proper glass of wine. The carpaccio, as always, the non-Italian way with pesto and rucola, but still properly made. See e.g. Wiki how it should be done and bear in mind that no Dutch located Italians serve it authentic. So don't blame Bocco Next, 'Funghi Trifolati', with a great, exceptionally tasting olive oil. The 'Stracceti di Manzo con aceto balsamico e Grana Padano' was spot-on as well, although I personally would have dressed the rucola with a few drops of their great olive oil. The shrimps were good but not jaw dropping. Mind me say that all flavours were in perfect harmony. Finally, the 'Filetto di pollo alla Milanese' was listed as being baked. Turned out te be deep fried. Not typical Italian, but tasted all right. Five stars, for an unique price and quality match! I dare all readers finding a better steal! Bocconcino's chef takes proud in his dishes for a price one could NEVER find anywhere else.

Really nice concept. All you can eat done in a good way for a really affordable price. Also the wine (extra) at too good to be true prices. Food is simple but good, don't expact Michelin Star cuisine but good quality and lot's of choice made to order. Nice atmosphere and quick staff as well.
All-you-can-eat concept with Italian food. Everything was fresh and the service was attentive, swift and friendly. Definitely nice place to eat if you're in the neighbourhood.
