KEW Technology Ltd is rated 3 out of 5 in the category ...a world beyond fossil fuels. Read and write reviews about KEW Technology Ltd. KEW is working in partnership with the Energy Technologies Institute to design and construct a Demonstration Plant in the Midlands. This technology demonstrator (called ‘Sustainable Energy Centre’) is currently in construction and due to commence commissioning operations in Q2 2019. Kew’s ATC technology uniquely converts 14,000 tonnes per year of waste-derived and low-grade biomass feedstocks into a hydrogen rich energy vector called Syngas which can be used for heat, power and onward processing. Our project will build on this technology with a further innovative steps to convert the Syngas into renewable diesel and also higher purity hydrogen as part of the progression towards a low carbon & hydrogen economy. The plant is small scale and modular by design, requiring assembly rather than construction. The ultra low emissions also make the plant suitable for operation within an air quality zone. The small scale, allows quick permitting, via the local authority and the flexible nature of the plant makes it ideally suited to be embedded within an industrial complex to convert on site wastes into valuable renewable low carbon energy vectors.
