Tasty fresh food and great cake. Children love all the different animals. Would prefer in such a peaceful place not to have to listen to MagicFM though.

Big thank you to everyone at Waugh Brow Farm shop. Working so hard at this really stressful and trying time. Top quality meat and produce all provided with the friendliest of service. Highly recommend
What a hidden gem! Superb watering hole and really friendly place. I don't know how they manage to cater for everyone in their little kitchen, but they manage to create great snacks and always with a smile, especially from Ruth (owner). GORGEOUS cakes and delicious hot chocolate served with a dollop of squirty cream, YUM! There's a wonderful farm shop too in the yard too. Great 'play barn' area for kids to get down and dirty (not literally!) with hay and miniature wheelbarrows! You can see rabbits and guinnea pigs too! Proper working farm so very down to earth facilities, (not a sterile environment if you're a bit worried about stuff like that)! However, there are washing facilities and they have plenty of antibac hand gel if you get to touch any of the animals. They have a compost toilet, which is a strange experience in an effort to be environmentally friendly! Plenty of seating outside when it's sunny and a superb sun trap! We also visited a couple of weeks ago but it was really cold and miserable. However, there's a barn with tables and chairs inside and the wood burner was on, keeping it toasty warm. There are cows with calves in the main barn at the moment, in another small barn area sheep and their new lambs and older lambs in the adjoining field. Loads of rabbits running around in the field, too, and every now and again a mother duck brings her little ones right through the yard!!! One of the little lambs in the field even let me hand feed it some grass as it was trying to nibble the grass on the edge of the field (typical, grass is always greener on the other side)!!!!!! It was amazing being able to tickle its little chin :-) A great place to spend some time, take in the surroundings, listen to the bird song, seeing nature up close and personal (you can even do a bit of plane spotting, if you're into that). Enjoy! I certainly recommend the lemon drizzle cake :-))))
