What an amazing place,the staff are super friendly, amazing food,Ian the owner very funny and cheeky, even gave us a lift back to our accommodation so we don’t have to worry about driving,fantastic service,great pub quiz,really friendly place,the food is all homemade excellent!wish it was my local

When me and my girlfriend stayed at the Hobbit House up the road (end of Jan/early Feb), we came here for dinner one night. Being the quiet season, we were the only two patrons there, but we loved the traditional charm and character of the Water Wheel. The Landlord was even singing along to the music on the stereo, which I thought was brilliant! The burgers are huge and delicious and it a delight to be in a proper Yorkshire pub again.

First time at the Waterwheel, Excellent food, beer, service. Really worked hard to get social distancing in place that works. Homely atmosphere and pleasant staff. Will certainly go back!
