A lovely place to visit. The gardens are quite large and very well tended - lots of interesting paths etc for chidren to explore and a huge range of flowers/trees for the garden enthusiast - plenty of labels to check for the species too. The cafe is nice and they have plenty of outdoor seating available. Free parking, and entry is 8.50 per adult. The garden center is quite nice too.

There's a lot here: big formal gardens, woodland and riverside walk, large garden centre, museum, shop, cafe. Gardens are lovely if formal borders are your thing. Reasonably priced and free parking. There is also a beautiful old church. As far as I can work out, the House is not open. The layout of the various bits is confusing, no map was offerred, and the signage is terrible.

Been to their various craft festivals in previous years when open, used to be very good but the last one changed and was stale and lifeless, everyone crammed inside stuffy buildings on a scorching hot day in the middle of Summer instesd of the usual airy tents. As a new craft business though I decided to enquire about attending when reopens, and requesting an outdoor pitch. I got offered an extortionate fee and massive comission on any sales to attend an online event. The extremely high comission would put me off even attending these events in the future let alone buying from them. Especially for an event organised and run without anyone leaving the house, the site use, insurance and other associate costs have vanished.

Stopped off for a coffee and a scone when out on the road bike. Great place to stop very welcoming to cyclists and plenty of places to leave your bike. Scones are really nice and just cannot resist them

One of my favourite places to go! There is do much to see and do, the gardens, the tea room, museum, art gallery and garden center and across the road and amazing farmers market! Beautiful!
