Updated review. This is my favorite shawarma place. Excellent fries, shawarma and sauces.(lounge burger sauce and garlic mayonnaise) fresh like always and delicious!

This restaurant is fantastic. I had a gyro with fries. The gyro was quite tasty, and the fries blew my socks off - fresh cut, hot out of the fryer, cooked and seasoned to perfection. The owner was really friendly, and graciously provided some extra fries and samples of the lentil soup as well (which was also tasty!). I hope I can go back again soon!

I don't know how this place has such high reviews. The chicken tastes not fresh (and slightly sour). The fries are bland.They do give you a lot of food.. but why would you want to even eat it? Go to UWaterloo plaza if you want real good Shawarma.

Beyond Great! - My 1st review of anything because I am so inspired by it to take this time to say Thank You AND to dispute Orbiter Dar's nasty review: - Owner goes out of his way to make sure everyone is treated with great respect and every dish is fresh, tasty, and personalised. - Ingredients are top quality; I have food sensitivities and this restaurant is one of few that makes me feel better after eating hours later. The quality and taste is reproduced to a high standard every time - almost a year now since I luckily found this restaurant. - Despite lockdowns, etcetera the quality and service is maintained top notch, providing a much needed option to the community. - Every positive review is legit - Shawarma Lounge reminds me of the golden age of independent diners before they were gentrified out of business. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a Renaissance in owner/operator options to come and continued success. -Recommended to anyone - as you see from other reviews - my family personally loves this place and other reviewers also spread the word of what a gem Shawarma Lounge is. -Looking forward to 'normal' times and 'dining in'; such a vibe of optimism, positivity and well wishes! Footnote, not trying to give haters attention they want but here goes: @Orbiter Dar I can not help but think you are a jealous competitor trolling and griefing because of the facts and evidence of mine and every other customer's experience is 180 degrees apart from what you purport here? Happened in there today. There were 5 people waiting for food and the owner was extremely apologetic about the wait. He hasn't seen 5 people in the restaurant at one time since last year. As much as we all told him it was nothing to worry about, he was so concerned about it. The food was fantastic and he tried to give me a free soup because of the wait. I had to fight with him to let me give a tip and support him. This is the type of small business owner we need to support in times like this. Go there and try the lentil soup, it was amazing!
