Boba Boy is open later than any other bubble tea shop, which I appreciate. However, the bubble tea itself is pretty underwhelming. I ordered a mango strawberry green tea with aloe, but I don't think the aloe pieces were actual aloe (or an error was made with my order). I also had an earl grey milk tea that was pretty weak. So, if it's late at night, and you need a bubble tea, Boba Boy has got you. Otherwise, check out some of the other local options.

First time visit and we will be back there again, they have a nice and wonderful customer service, nice taste slushy and the bubble tea was amazing, thank you so much for your service, Highly Recommend it for everyone to visit and try, Good luck
Great customer service! my first experience with boba boy left me unhappy as my drink settled leaving the cup only half filled. However the the owner was so KIND to contact me and give me a free drink. Upon getting my drink the staff was very kind. I will be returning to boba boy!
waste of money, tonnes of better options available for bubble tea in Waterloo. Really tasted like water and some flavoured powder. I tried the mango and strawberry milk tea and they were both gross. They’re not up to par with the other boba boy locations I have visited. Do not recommend.
Sad that my first experience at Boba Boy Waterloo left a bad first impression. Their hours aren’t available anywhere and aren’t listed on the official Boba Boy website. We went off of the UberEats listing, which says you can start ordering at 3pm. We arrived at 3:15pm and were told the handmade tapioca wasn’t ready yet and would take another half hour. You can’t specify ice or sugar levels, which would have been fine if they just told me they don’t do that. They accepted my order and just made it normally. We even requested no ice for one of the drinks as they were making it and they agreed and put ice anyway. As well, I don’t think there’s any consistency in the recipes. I ordered the exact same thing my friend got when she came another day and they were completely different with different toppings. Taste-wise, the drinks were fine I suppose. Tasted kind of watery and I would have preferred a drink from either Chatime or OneZo. Will be going there instead in the future.
I ordered 2 avocado shakes. Which took awhile to make. It did not taste like avocado. Instead it tasted like a very sweet honey drink. It was very very sweet and was smoothered in honey. I would not go back for that. The reason I gave this place a 2 star rating is because the staff was kind regardless of the very long delay. My sister ordered before me and recieved her drink last. The people behind me recieved thier drinks before she did. Was very disappointed. I ended up going to OneZo down the street.
Citrus slush and black sugar milk tea. Great flavour, citrus was nice and sour. Black sugar not too sweet, perfect!
Awesome place! The drinks are great and you can even get them in cute reusable bottles. The girl behind the counter was really nice which topped off the experience nicely.
