I've been coming here for about 18 months now, and the benefits are truly life changing for me. I struggle with fibromyalgia on a daily basis, the pain can be debilitating but the extreme fatigue and fog meant that I had no life at all. Everything, every day was a struggle, I seemed to spend every afternoon on the sofa asleep. I completed the initial intensive hyperbaric sessions and gradually I noticed that I was beginning to feel more awake and alive. The results have been outstanding, now an afternoon on the sofa is a treat watching a film! I also love coming, just to see all the staff and volunteers, who are like a big friendly family, everyone has time for you and takes a genuine interest in your wellbeing. I love this place

Everyone is so lovely, friendly and they genuinely really care about your health and well being. I've been going for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy since January (which really helps) and it's so lovely to go to a place where you feel so well looked after. I go there for help with ME/CFS and fibromyalgia and it's such a misunderstood illness that some doctors still believe it's all in the imagination and don't realise how physically severe and debilitating it can be. (Not all Drs mind! Some do understand it's physical with a mental component rather than mental). When I first started the intensive course, I was really relieved and excited to find a physical treatment for this illness that actually makes me feel better. The MS Centre made me feel comfortable from the very beginning and are always really understanding and considerate around the illness- they truly understand how debilitating it is for me and I come out of the centre feeling uplifted from the treatment but also because I've felt like I can relate to people as we have similar experiences, and also because you really can feel the care from the Wessex MS Team, who genuinely want to see you getting better :)
