This school uses a variety of different techniques to create a unique learning experience and environment. Small classes and talented teachers demand the best from each student, while tailoring the curriculum for each student to learn at their own pace to maximise their potential at GCSE level. Your child will enjoy a 3 course lunch, Starting with a seasonal soup of the day with a bread roll, Mains is usually a meat or vegetarian dish served with potatoes, rice or alternative and plenty of seasonal vegetables, Dessert is usually a pudding of some kind and custard or a cake or muffin, With fresh fruit available, As well as at least 4 different types of salad each day. Friday is usually treat day with chips and a special dessert and also at Special occasions. Water is on offer throughout the day as it's extremely important for your child to be hydrated to ensure levels of learning remain high during the long school day. Their day starts at 8:30am and they finish at 4pm Monday to Wednesday, then on Thursday and Friday they finish at 3pm. There are no fizzy drinks or snack machines in the building, which promotes healthly eating and all teaching staff eat with the children in the canteen area. Their meals are all cooked on the premises to an extremely high standard and special dietary needs are met by the Chef.
Where can i start... THEY HAVE RECIEVED LOADS OF INADEQUATE REPORTS FROM OFSTED. There are no doors, so the whole floor is just complete noise from other classrooms.I understand why the kids can't concentrate on their work. Many teachers have left unexpectedly and it takes them 9 months to replace them. Loads of kids have complained about this \enrichment\ as they are not enjoying wasting another hour at school doing activites they are FORCED to do. This school doesn't have enough money to provide for trips and school needs, so every member of staff donates from their wallet. For the whole of lunch or break, kids are bored on a small tight roof as they're is one basket ball hoop to play. Kids are expected to sit upstairs and forced to entertain themeselves. In a small school, like this, you would think they're would be more activites and entertainment for them. Well you thought wrong. There has been series of vandalism, holes in walls, rubbish everywhere. Many times, kids of smashed in all the lights on the stairs which caused it to be pitch black. This is a serious health hazard as kids have to walk down from a five storey building in pitch black. At lunchtime it gets worse as kids have to wait 40 minutes as the chef needs to prepare a second batch of food. As period 5 is halfway through, kids are still eating downstairs when they should be in lessons. Kids have come up to me saying they don't feel well due to the uncooked food As the meat is still red, especially when they cook chicken but there is still blood dripping. Many parents have called in the next day and said they're child has food poisoning but the receptionist told me to put it down as a sore throat or a dentist appointment. THIS IS NOT RIGHT! A school should be caring after they're students. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS A SCHOOL YOU SHOULD SEND YOUR CHILD, UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO FAIL THEIR GCSE'S! DON'T RECOMMEND.
