When my dad, Norman Morgenroth, died 1/14/92, my mom, Natalie Morgenroth, purchased two light plaques one for my dad and one for her when she passed. She constantly reminded me that she already prepaid for her plaque. She died 8/9/16, and I immediately contacted the temple. I was told because they merged, their records don't go back that far. Unless I provided them with proof that my mom paid it in advance, they wouldn't honor her word. I said that my dad had died 24 years ago, how was I to have proof. My mom was a member of Wantagh Jewish Centre since 1956 when they purchased their home. My mom's word was good enough. If they knew my mom, they would never have said that. She was the most honorable, considerate, honest person in the world. It kills me that I promised my mom that I would honor her wish since she already prepaid it. Shame on Congregation Beth Tikvah .

So truly disappointed today. During a moment of great family distress I sought to pray at the temple today. All doors were locked which i completely understand so I rang the rear bell. I asked to spend a moment in the chapel to pray and was told ot at this time\ This is not what I expected at a house of worship. I went to the chapel at Maria Regina to find solace.

As someone who has had baby naming and other ceremonies at Beth Tikvah, it is unacceptable to read such slander about this extremely friendly, warm, devoted congregation. They are the best ! I invite everyone to be part of this marvelous and lively congregation in Wantagh.

Hard to believe how low some individuals go down to instead of appreciating the enormous efforts, warmness and accommodation of an outstanding congregation. Have been going to Beth Tikvah in Wantagh for years and will continue to do so.
