Very disappointed this evening. I have been waiting to try this place out for some time but hesitant to book over mixed reviews. Firstly I will say the venue itself is lovely and modern however we were placed at the back of the restaurant in the corner under a very loud speaker!! And pretty much in the artificial tree. After asking 4 times could they turn the music down because we couldn't hear ourselves talk!! they finally did. Tables very close together, in fact my 74 year old dad was literally touching backs with the next table so not Covid safe at all. Food portions very small sizes and over priced for what you get. Good job we made use of the eat out offer. Also they tried to overcharge us with by 11 pounds. Luckily we checked the bill properly.

I don't want to knock the place during these difficult times, but firstly they need to update their website with the new educed choice\ menu (and new - higher - prices)... The food we had was nice enough, but not really enough to make me want to pay double as other places, it just didn't seem \that\ special... The pub itself is nice, but the view of a carpark again is not particularly special. The beer garden is a good touch, but doesn't really make use of the views over the fields, and you have to traipse down the carpark to reach it... Staff friendly enough, for the brief encounters we had with them. The 90mins time allowed for the table would not have been enough should we have had a starter, I wonder what would have happened if we hadn't finished before they wanted the table back... Glad we had the government discount, so was more reasonable but I feel they may have shot themselves in the foot with the drinks prices...

Social distancing seems forgotten to pack everyone in and staff no masks. Ordered drinks didn't arrive until after we finished our starter the starter order was wrong.ordered main course 2 out of 4 wrong order. My friend ordered a glass of red wine to have with his main meal, didn't arrive till after he finished his meal, main for wife was cold we couldn't get out there quick enough in the end won't be going back

Just had a lovely freshly prepared Lunch which included chef made scotch egg with a soft bodied egg and black pudding. This was followed by a medium rare fillet steak cooked to perfection and complemented by real chips not frozen or press packaged

No social distancing, no PPE worm by staff at all. Very slow service. Food was ok but not great, definitely not worth the prices they charge. Chips were unseasoned, cold & chewy. Chicken hanging kebab was small (filled maybe half the skewer). Burger was burnt & no way was the topping pulled pork, more like small diced cubes of cold pork in bbq sauce. Definitely wont be going back.
