Very mediocre pizza. Crust tastes exactly like grocery store french bread, sauce tastes like tomato paste, and cheese tastes like cheddar. I’m sure somewhere like Colorado this would be considered great pizza, but LA is a gold mine of great food and this place doesn’t stand up to the competition.
This is the restaurant I've been looking for all my life. Wow! The menu is based on what items are available -- fresh! -- from the Farmer's Market.They have vegetarian and gluten-free options. Every pizza, dish, and salad is delicious and from the creative mind of the owner. The prices are right and there's free parking. Pizza has specials that are outstanding. I recommend getting on their mailing list so you can know when they have special events.
My family and I came from out of town to visit CA. we were in the mood for pizza and this place showed with the highest ratings. We gave it a try and we're very satisfied. 5 adults and 1 teenager shared 4 pizzas (Margherita, daviola, americanna, and plain pepperoni). We each had about 3 slices and weren't too full. We considered ordering a 5th pizza but it was just the perfect amount of food. Will return again!
We were very pleasantly surprised by this pizza. The folks at Il Casaro generously offered to donate pizza to my hospital during the COVID-19 crisis. We had fairly low expectations, but the pizza was amazing! They also provided calzones which were equally as yummy. The crust was perfectly soft and crisp, and the toppings were great. Would definitely recommend as a change of pace to the typical SF pizza spots.
